Real revitalization in downtowns starts with your community and your businesses
YOUR TOWN RISING

We’re the unconsultants
of small-town revitalization
and marketing in Canada
We believe the path to small-town and downtown success doesn’t start with grandiose plans or million dollar handouts or reports. It truly begins on main street on a much smaller budget using out-of-the-box approaches. Our proven community-building approach tailored to your community’s needs is about seeing gaps and opportunities for marketing and placemaking. We give your community and your businesses the inspiration and enthusiasm for creating a momentum that snowballs.
In September 2024, we were hired to work with six small towns and villages in rural Manitoba. We met with locals and businesses, did downtown walkabouts with stakeholders, and presented fresh ideas for marketing, placemaking, public art, and community building. We spent a week in this region doing work for Russell, Binscarth, Shoal Lake, Strathclair, Minnedosa, and Neepawa, Manitoba. This trip was our second to rural Manitoba to inspire small communities.

YOUR TOWN RISING FEATURED ON CBC NEWS
We do downtown walkabouts with community stakeholders, we meet businesses and locals, we listen, we see possibilities and opportunities for change. Then we brainstorm to craft our tailored in-person presentations to your community on ways to do creative marketing, placemaking, public art, and community building to kickstart a strong grassroots revitalization process.
OUR PROVEN GRASSROOTS APPROACH STARTS ACTION
Find out about our visit to the Town of Minto and how we inspired an incredible change in three small rural downtowns. We’ve worked with Minto twice in a span of four years. We were invited back in September 2022 for a celebration event to see the dramatic changes. We spent most of the day walking the downtowns, having spur-of-the-moment chats with shop keepers, and snapping photos of the many things that caught our eyes. In the evening we presented a Next Steps roadmap.
